Full HD camcorders compared (appetizer).

A while back I got really excited about the latest batch of Full HD camcorders. I ordered a Panasonic HDC-SD7 from Japan and bought a Sony HDR-SR11 over here in Finland. A bit later Panasonic sent me a HDC-SD9 for testing.

Kanadan Yleisradio, eli Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), otti rohkeasti härkää sarvista. Sen tuottama Marketplace-ohjelma teki juttua HDTV:n ostamisesta ja tarttui siihen, miten myyjät tuputtavat töllön oheen kaikenmoista krääsää, kuten rajusti ylihinnoiteltuja HDMI-kaapeleita.

Christmas came early - again.

I’ve always liked the way English loudspeakers sound. My previous apartment was filled with B&W’s speakers, but I switched to KEF when it came time to equip the four home theaters in this house.

Terastation dies. How to recover data?

I’ve got a bunch of Buffalo Terastations, ranging from the first generation slow-as-molasses boxes to the latest gen Lives. I’ve configured each and every one of them as RAID-5 array for added data security. Recent events have taught me a lot about Terastations, RAID arrays and the necessity of backups.
