It’s here, finally. The Terminator 2 HD DVD I ordered from Amazon France arrived today. It’s a double disc edition: disc 1 contains the theatrical cut with English DTS-HD Master Audio and two French DTS-HD tracks. Disc 2 has the so-called Director’s Cut with English DTS-HD Master Audio track. Neither disc has English subtitles. Here’s a scan of the cover:

I spent some minutes viewing each version; both look quite nice. I have a feeling both look and sound slightly better than the US released Blu-ray version, but don’t have time to make a proper comparison right this minute. I tried to take a few screenshots with a digital camera, but they turned out awful, thanks to extensive moire effect. Guess it’s time to try out some alternative methods of acquiring screengrabs.
